Pheasant Branch Corridor Trail - Middleton, WI

Outcomes:

SAA has been involved in the protection, preservation, expansion and development of the City of Middleton Pheasant Branch Conservancy for many years. Projects include restoration of stream banks, development of trail systems, ADA upgrades, grant procurement and administration and overall master planning. The City of Middleton, Dane County and the Department of Natural Resources all own portions of the conservancy, which features natural springs and seeps, oak savannas, lowland forests, prairies, wetland, plus an abundance of wildlife including migratory waterfowl and birds.

The latest addition to the conservancy was completed in 2009. SAA provided the city with a comprehensive project completing a multi-use trail system, bird watching stations, interpretive signage, education pods, natural habitat creation, invasive plant eradication, and stream bank restoration for the corridor.
