SAA partnered with an architect to prepare a development master plan, final design and construction documents for the expansion of St. Mary’s Medical Center campus in Madison. Having completed the Park Street Corridor Vision Plan and Design Guidelines as well as the Greenbush Neighborhood Plan, SAA was well positioned to provide successful public process facilitation along with site and landscape design, civil engineering, and roadway and stormwater design for this comprehensively planned development. The project’s urban and sustainable design features include pocket parks, ornamental lighting and streetscaping, stormwater infiltration areas, a green roof on the new in-patient building, and extensive landscaping. The Specific Implementation Plan (SIP) was submitted and approved in Fall 2004.
