• Cooperation between all the school systems, public and private
• Forward thinking planning on governmental matters
• Enjoy attempts to retain neighborhood feeling
• Appreciate willingness to check into historical matters (archeological)

• Area has natural beauty
• Homes reflect

• Size of our city
• Layout of the city
• Street signs
• Schools and their location
• The police department and city officials and all that they do!
• Everyone seems to work well with eachother - so it seems like an almost perfectly functioning city!
• I love Onalaska!

• Fact we are outgrowing our highway system

• Need left hand turn signal
• No street after County ? Arrow should be pointing on left turn at stop sign

• So many streets do not go through
• The mall area was not well planned, it just grew - not well organized

• No "downtown"
• Not many cultural attractions
• Waterfront not being developed

• Underdeveloped downtown
• 25 mph speed limit everywhere
• "Difficult" City council to adopt new ideas - they are tough and some live in the past

• No downtown
• Lack of multi-family housing - I see this as a community leader (alderman)
• Fairly apathetic voting level (low)
• Very local perspective - not a lot of experience with problems and solutions from other areas

• Not enough affordable housing
• Not much waterfront access
• Mall traffic/congestion

• Traffic congestion around Best Buy/Farm & Fleet area
• Highway 35 area downtown needs rehabilitation

• Engineering needs to be working with the community on certain problem areas!

• Too many chain restaurants
• Slow downtown development
• Train running through town

• City council spends too much time bickering about issues

• Whoever laid out the road system in this town must have been a drunk artist! When I was new here, I couldn't get from point A to point B without getting lost.
• I think the city needs a better system to keep gardens watered

• Lack of an indoor/outdoor pool facility

• Would like to see local governments come and work together

• Alternating parking dates should be after Christmas through March 1st

• Losing natural hills and woods to developers (Walnut Estates)
• Alternate parking during non-snow conditions
• Need for traffic lights at high-use intersections
• Keep some Bluff Hiking trails for kids and adults (Old Rock Quarrys and Bear (Beer?) Cave)

• Lack of downtown, hometown businesses

• That the riverfront is not open
• That this process is not regional - cities and towns compete rather than cooperate
• Can we sack the pool?

• Big box retailers centrally located
• Density of homes, small lots
• Major roads lack left, right, straight lanes

• Lack of emergency help (police and ambulance/fire

• City's refusal to raise taxes to promote progress
• Lack of recruitment of big business to the area
• Stormwater ponds in new development

• Cleanliness, streets could be cleaner, grass growing in sidewalks, businesses run-down and not maintained (JDM Auto)

• Lack of pool - 2 years!
• Poor use of waterfront
• Politics - small town
