River Prairie Development Plan
Altoona, Wisconsin

• SAA is currently leading a multidisciplinary consultant team to create a community-based development plan for a 300-acre site owned by the City of Altoona.

• The final plan will seek to balance the economic advantages of future development and the construction of a major highway bypass with preservation and enhancement of the site's river corridor and forest areas, and TND-based design and design guidelines to establish standards for visual and community character.

• Public process to date has included stakeholder interviews, a Community Vision Forum, project website, and three-day design charette.
